Will there be a fourth book in the Twelfth Keeper series? The answer is YES! I'm working on it now. It's called Infinite Night.
There will also be a fifth book. Most likely, that will be the final book. So when will the fourth book be released? The good news is this one will not take as long as the last one did. You can expect to see this one available around May-June.
What happens in IN? If you finished Ocean of Stars, you know Infinite Night will be VERY different than the first three. But you know, spoilers ;) xoxo, Belle
Kennedy swallowed, instinctively knowing what it would feel like to wear this dress. It would be light. Airy. Like being wrapped in a misty cloud…but how could she know that? “I’m catching a rise in your heart rate, cupcake. Is the gown overwhelming you with excitement or is something else going on?” It used to bother Kennedy how effortlessly a robot could read her emotions. Matilda knew her better than most humans, and there was something a little creepy about that. Her perceptiveness was growing on her though. Talking to Matilda felt like talking to an old friend. An old friend that calculated her moods and expressions with better precision than a psychoanalyst, but in an endearing, familiar sort of way.
And in the dress’s case, Matilda was dead on. Time was hurling backward. “I’ve seen this dress before.” “You’re not getting enough oxygen to your brain,” the android admonished. “I suggest you sit down and take a few deep breaths.” Bursts of images raced through Kennedy’s head. The overwhelming déjà vu pummeled into her so hard it made her nauseous. “The dreams …I was wearing this in my dreams with Phoenix.” “The ones you told me about? With the crumbling ceiling and the pool that overflowed?” She dropped the dress so quickly, it was as if it were on fire, the fabric pooling in a puddle at her feet. She stared down at it, her mind scrambling to figure out a rational explanation.
Except there wasn’t one. “This can’t be happening. Those dreams can’t come true.”
Kennedy Mitchell has just survived an alien attack, but at what cost? The world still isn’t safe. The keepers still aren’t strong enough to defend it. The people still have no idea how much is at stake.
The Department of Extraterrestrials is planning an important mission, one that means seeking the help of another planet in order to save theirs. Kennedy is reluctant to leave at such a critical time, but her role in the mission is essential to its success. With everyone she loves still at risk, she’s willing to do anything to find the key to survival.
Even if that means crossing the universe. NOW AVAILABLE ON PRE-ORDER: CLICK HERE
Taking a vacation wasn’t what Kennedy Mitchell had in mind after aliens threatened to attack Earth. Although she’s happy spending time with her family, she begins to question DOE’s motives for sending her home when she should be training. Something’s up and she knows it.
Searching for answers, she turns to Phoenix, the one person she can trust…or so she thought. It seems even he has secrets, and the more she discovers, the more she wonders if anything they had together was real.
The stakes are higher than they’ve ever been. One keeper goes missing. Another is determined to destroy her. As if that isn't enough to deal with, everyday humans get closer to annihilation. This time Kennedy has no one to rely on but herself.
Cover by Rebecca Frank Art When sixteen-year-old Kennedy Mitchell is proclaimed the world’s last keeper, she thinks it’s a cruel joke. Come on, her? Impossible. She’s no warrior. She isn’t wise beyond her years, or more importantly, capable of keeping Earth safe.
Except...no one will listen. And since all evidence says otherwise, the job is hers whether she likes it or not.
During the highly demanding training regime that follows, Kennedy struggles to fit in with Earth’s renowned protectors. Especially Phoenix Jorgensen, who openly despises her. Problem is, he may be the only one she can trust. The keepers have big secrets surrounding them. Secrets Kennedy isn’t comfortable knowing, much less being apart of. With Phoenix’s help, she’ll have to find a way out.
Either that, or die trying. OCEAN OF STARS Cover Reveal & Release date coming soon!
Long Answer: Ocean of Stars precedes a larger part of Kennedy's journey. In fact, I never actually intended to write the story of Book 3 in the way it unfolded. The original plan was to start the timeline six months after the point where COTU ended...that didn't work out so well. I kept going back and revising my outline to include more flashback scenes, and eventually I realized I was skipping over vital developments. Sometimes these characters know more than I do. They want their stories told the way they want. *shrugs* Gotta give in to the creative process ;)
So how many books are you planning?
Short answer: I don't know.
Long answer: The story has to feel complete, and the characters need to have fully developed. At this point, there will definitely be a fourth, possibly a fifth. Beyond that, I can't say for sure. I've known from the beginning where Kennedy and Phoenix are heading, but I have no idea how many books it will take to tell their story.
Let me know if you guys have any other questions. I love hearing from readers!
